Jesus Alfonso Miro was director musical de LOS MUNEQUITOS DE MATANZAS for many years before to die in juin 2009. He was also one of my best friends in Cuba. I will always think of him when I'll make my congas. He was a great inspiration source for me.
Jesus Alfonso Miro did much for keeping the afrocuban music alive . Los Munequitos de Matanzas plays their rumbas with MOPERC tumbadoras in Matanzas Cuba as well as everywhere they tour in the world. LOS MUNEQUITOS DE MATANZAS have more than 50 years of existance. They are real Afrocuban folklore keepers!
